Sick of watching the same shows on Netflix over and over again? Are you looking for a live program with sports, action, and adorable players? No, I’m not talking about the Superbowl this weekend featuring Tom Brady and the Buccaneers against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Enter, Puppy Bowl XVII, featuring countless lovable pups looking for a forever home!

The puppies will be divided into two teams, Team Fluff vs. Team Ruff both vying for the coveted “Lombarky Trophy”. All of the 70+ puppies will be available for adoption from 22 shelters spanning across the Northeast. In this year’s Puppy Bowl there will be some exciting new additions. On the sidelines of the competitions will now be canine “cheerleaders”. These other dogs will be in charge of spearheading the competitive spirit for each of their respective teams. This year we will also see 6 special needs dogs included in the festivities, all perfectly capable of playing the game with their fellow pups. Much like the previous 16 years, it is the hope of the gamemakers that all of the puppies will find their forever homes following the event. Perhaps you could end up with a new furry friend after watching the show! If this isn’t enough to entice you, hosting this year’s competition will be a tag-team of Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg. You can watch the Puppy Bowl Live on Animal Planet at 2pm Eastern on Sunday, February 7th, before the Super Bowl begins. If this three hour long event isn’t enough cuteness for you, tune in for the pre-game that will begin at 1pm on Animal Planet. Enjoy the show--I hope you puggin love it!
