Each week we highlight a student at The Winchendon School- their achievements, their hobbies, their academic interests, and what inspires them. This week we are highlighting Lizzie Emerson, because of her dedication to her teammates, friends, and the girls in her dorm!

This week’s Student of the Week is none other than Lizzie Emerson ‘21! Known for her bubbly, fun, and studious attitude, she is a bright light on The Winchendon School campus. First arriving on the school’s campus her sophomore year, Lizzie has been a student here for three years since 2018. And in those three years, she has been and continues to be a friend, a teammate, a proctor, a role model, and a leader to many. During classes, Lizzie enjoys her times with her peers, especially since one of her favorite memories here at The Winchendon School was in her first year being in Mrs. Donovan’s GD II class with her classmates Anya and Mei! Some of Lizzie’s favorite hobbies and extracurricular activities include playing volleyball as a libero, hockey, lacrosse, and sleeping! With all the Lizzie does here in our school community, who wouldn’t love sleeping after doing so much each and every day! Throughout her years, despite being so involved athletically, she continued to be a leader and role model. Her junior year she spent as a Service Learning leader, and this year she leads as a proctor of her dormitory and a member of the National Honor Society. Want to be as incredible and ambitious like Lizzie? Look no further than one of her greatest role models, Mrs. Donovan. As Lizzie ‘21 said herself, “Someone that inspires me is Mrs. Donovan… I look up to her and see her as a great role model.” Congratulations to Lizzie Emerson for being a consistently warm-hearted and sweet person on campus, and keep inspiring the rest of us on campus and keep being you!
